Claudia, now a renowned author, comes back to her hometown for her high school reunion, stirring up painful memories for Sheriff Lee. During her visit, she discovers that Lance, her designated escort, is the son of a former boyfriend who holds her responsible for his father's death. Tensions rise as Lance and Lee clash over her, reenacting the tragic incident that took Lance's father’s life. However, this time, it’s the sheriff who meets a tragic fate at Dead Man's Curve.
