Episode Overview

Mrs. Frigh is delighted when her daughter Bertha and their governess arrive from Copenhagen. At the train station, they encounter a destitute boy whose tale unexpectedly leads Mrs. Frigh to connect with a kind-hearted widower. Meanwhile, Ms. Vetterstrøm is swept away by visions of rekindling a past romance, imagining her first love moving into the hotel. Mr. Aurland heads to Copenhagen for a radio debate against the pro-Nazi leader Knabstrup, leaving Mrs. Aurland to rely on Weyse to care for Severin, which has surprising consequences for the self-involved actor.
