Episode Overview

Lester arrives home from work feeling unwell, convinced he’s caught the flu. With a bell that Sandra gave him, he drives Mary up the wall, incessantly calling for "water" and "celery salt" for his soup. Mary thinks he’s just being overly dramatic. She asks Brenda to keep an eye on him while she heads out for some shopping and finally gets a much-deserved pedicure and manicure, which she had missed out on earlier with Pearl and Rose. When she returns, she finds Lester being loaded into an ambulance for appendicitis. Anxious and unable to watch him before surgery, Mary sneaks into the operating room, where the procedure goes smoothly.
