The Bellamys are stunned to discover that Eaton Place, a part of the Southwold estate, must be sold to comply with the stipulations of the late Lord Southwold's will. Their concerns deepen with the revelation of Elizabeth's connection to Julius Karekin, a man they vehemently disapprove of. However, as events unfold, it becomes clear that Elizabeth's relationship with him brings unexpected advantages for the family.
