Jake is starting to crack under the constant pressure of leading the fight against the Yeerks. The sleepless nights, the impossible choices, and the weight of his friends' lives on his shoulders have become too much. In a moment of raw exhaustion, he finds himself wishing he had never crossed paths with Elfangor, that the Andalite prince had never crash-landed in their lives and handed them this terrible burden.
