Episode Overview

Feeling disheartened with his life as a ranch hand, Trampas decides to travel to Deadwood City in the Dakotas with his old friend, Luke Milford (William Shatner), after hearing rumors of gold discoveries. Upon arrival, they discover that much of the gold is located in Sioux territory. However, they encounter a man named Finley (Strother Martin), who claims to have found a gold strike just outside the Indian borders and promises them a share if they help fund his equipment. They successfully find gold, but it turns out to be on Sioux land. This leads Trampas into conflict not only with the Sioux but also a dangerous confrontation with Luke, who becomes obsessed with the gold.
