Episode Overview

Slim Jessup (James Gregory), an experienced cowhand, finds himself on the run after being wrongfully accused of murder in Idaho. Seeking refuge, he joins a cattle drive headed to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where he meets youthful dreamer James Cafferty (Brandon de Wilde). Eager to escape the hardships of dirt farming with his widowed step-father (Frank Overton), James looks to Slim for guidance. As their journey unfolds, Slim imparts valuable life lessons to the young man, all while his dangerous past looms ever closer.
