Episode Overview

Following her assignment with the Red Cross on the Western Front, nurse Johanna Gabathuler returns to Davos expecting a child. As she is in the midst of childbirth, her father unexpectedly takes her newborn daughter away from her. To reclaim her baby, Johanna finds herself compelled to strike a bargain with the German secret services.
