Episode Overview

Helga Allowby, who proudly labels herself a spinster, finds herself in hot water after being accused of writing malicious poison pen letters to her neighbors. Desperate to clear her name, she turns to Hetty for help. To navigate the village's deep-seated mistrust, Hetty assumes the guise of Tara Hall, a traveling artist. However, when Hetty's name appears on the list of recipients, she begins to suspect that Miss Allowby may indeed be guilty of poor handwriting rather than any actual wrongdoing.
