Episode Overview

Reed and Malloy hurry an 8-year-old boy to Rampart Emergency Hospital, where he's found to have diabetes. Fearful of being in the hospital, Jimmy bolts, leaving Reed and Malloy scrambling to locate him before he slips into a diabetic coma. Meanwhile, Malloy's new girlfriend, Cathy, is working at a hospital hotline. There, she receives a call from Sherry, a 15-year-old drug addict who is contemplating suicide to escape her difficult circumstances. With time running out, Reed and Malloy must act quickly to save her from an overdose.
