With Danny absent and Du Plessis occupied with community service, Ed takes the reins of the Endangered Species Project. Kim invites Ed out for a drink, but after feeling overwhelmed, he declines, quickly regretting his choice. He gets a new opportunity when Kim comes back, anxious about her lioness. Meanwhile, Fatani assists Liv and Thabo with the animal census. In the end, Ed and Du Plessis uncover that Kim is involved in animal smuggling.
