Janine's past catches up with her when her old drug dealer demands repayment, threatening her family if she fails to comply. In an attempt to protect them, Curtis purchases a handgun, despite Ella's objections. Concurrently, Malik is facing yet another bully at school. When he discovers Uncle Curtis' gun tucked away in the closet, he believes he has found a solution to his troubles.
