Episode Overview

Cynical about the holiday season, Alex dismisses Christmas as "a silly sentimental farce," preferring to focus on stock reports rather than joining his family in decorating the tree and singing carols. However, as he drifts off to sleep, he is visited by Jennifer, the Ghost of Christmas Past, who takes him back a decade to a time when a young Alex reveled in the joy of Christmas. Soon after, Mallory, the Ghost of Christmas Future, arrives to show him a bleak vision of the future, where the once-thriving Keaton household is in disarray, and a wealthy, complacent Alex is on his way to Las Vegas.
