Granville is set on enticing the elderly Mr. Bentinck to enter his shop, as he has yet to succeed in getting him to make a purchase. Additionally, he aims to enhance Gastric's reputation to impress Madge. Meanwhile, frequent patron Eric is determined to persuade his wife that rain is on the way, a plan that quickly backfires.
