As Hardie arrives in town, he witnesses a robbery at the Wells Fargo office. While pursuing the culprits, he runs into Doc Forrester, who harbors a longstanding resentment towards Jim. Their journey leads them to the Haggerty farm, where Leroy is desperately looking for medical help for his injured brother, Ollie.
