P.F.C. Marsh unexpectedly encounters his wife, Lt. Amelia Marsh, at a field hospital. He requests a pass to be with her during this brief moment. As he waits for approval, Kirby goes absent without leave and finds his way to the hospital. Consequently, Marsh is assigned to a mission in Kirby's stead, leading to him sustaining injuries.
