Episode Overview

A young couple dreams of building a lighthouse treehouse on a steep seaside seawall in Northwest Washington. Pete faces the challenge of transporting all his materials to the site exclusively by barge due to the terrain. The unique two-story octagonal structure, adorned with white and red shingles, nestles among cottonwood trees and features porthole windows, a wrap-around balcony, a nautical-themed interior, and vibrant stained glass. Eager to embrace off-grid living, the couple surprises Pete with requests for a rainwater shower, a composting toilet, and a way to generate power. In a delightful twist, Pete even creates a high-up "backyard" for their cherished dog.
