Overview
In South Korea, every man must serve in the military—but some, like elite medical students, can dodge the front lines and work as public health doctors instead. This is the story of those lucky few. Do Ji-ui, a plastic surgeon, gets sent to Pyeondong-do, a remote island no one volunteers for. From day one, strange and unsettling things start happening. Can he endure a full year on this nightmarish island and escape with his life—or will the island destroy him before he can finish his duty?
