In the sprawling world of Westworld, a high-end amusement park where visitors indulge in wild-west experiences alongside android "hosts," lead programmer Bernard Lowe informs park creator Dr. Robert Ford about troubling signs of unusual behavior emerging in some newly programmed hosts. Simultaneously, in the town of Sweetwater, Dolores, a rancher's daughter, meets a gunslinger named Teddy in the street. Their expected storyline takes a shocking turn with the arrival of the sinister Man in Black, followed by an unexpected interaction involving a supporting host and an object from the outside world.
