Episode Overview

Alfonso XIV has come back to Spain to deliver the customary Royal Christmas Speech. Instead of announcing his abdication, the King expresses regret over placing his inexperienced daughter in power. The branches of government inform Pilar that her father is not thinking clearly. Despite their attempts to reason with him, he remains unyielding. Now, it falls to Pilar to persuade him that he needs to step down for the good of the country.
