Doc's romantic getaway takes an unexpected turn when the sister of the woman he’s interested in, who is fresh from a breakup and deeply despondent, decides to join them on the cruise. In an attempt to steal some private time, Doc plots to have a charming playboy distract the sister. Meanwhile, Vicki lends a hand to a young boy determined to bring his divorced parents back together. Additionally, a woman struggles to keep her husband close after his recent heart surgery, plagued by the fear that he might collapse at any moment.
