Episode Overview

After experiencing a profound personal tragedy, 25-year-old Theodore Roosevelt leaves behind the political scene of New York to seek a new life in the untamed Dakota Badlands, aspiring to become a cattle rancher amidst the Beef Bonanza. In this harsh landscape, his youth and frail physique make him vulnerable. Upon reaching the rugged town of Medora, he confronts a menacing gunslinger. With guidance from his lumberjack mentor, Bill Sewall, and his cowboy friend, William Merrifield, he successfully establishes the expansive Elkhorn Ranch. The trials of building Elkhorn shape Roosevelt into a genuine cowboy, setting him on a remarkable journey toward greatness.
