Episode Overview
Following the murder of a gangster, Terwilliger suspects a burglar, but Hunter uncovers inconsistencies. Nick, the eldest son known for his reckless lifestyle, is anxious about the woman he brought home the night of the murder. Hunter and McCall track her down, and she reveals that an argument erupted between Nick and his father before a gunshot rang out. This raises suspicions about Nick's involvement. However, the captain doubts her reliability due to her intoxicated state. When she demands hush money from Nick, he is ambushed and shot. Hunter deduces that the younger son, Billy, is the real culprit and confronts him at the hospital where he takes the girl hostage, ultimately leading to a showdown.
