Annie, Harry, and Debbie are caught off guard when they learn that the theater director at West Beverly is unable to lead the school musical. Kelly convinces Brenda to step in as the new director, but their collaboration becomes tense due to disagreements over Kelly's relationship with Ryan. Meanwhile, Dixon seeks a part-time job at the Peach Pit, and Naomi faces off against her father's mistress.
