Following a tip from the wire, Greggs, Herc, Carver, and Freamon execute a raid, but their actions raise suspicions for Avon and Stringer, prompting them to shut down operations in the Pit. At the same time, Bunk and McNulty are on the lookout for another witness regarding the Gant murder case and are tracking down a suspect referred to as 'Mr. Bird.'
