Title: Episode 1 Plot: In the small town of Hörby, 10-year-old Helén Nilsson vanishes on Easter in 1989. On that cold evening, she plans to meet two friends at a nearby discount store, but the reunion never occurs. Six days later, her lifeless body is discovered, showing signs of assault and strangulation. Detective Commissioner Pelle Åkesson is eager to dive into the case but faces swift rejection from his superior. When Helén's mother arrives at the police station pleading for Pelle's involvement, he vows to bring her daughter's murderer to justice.
