While in Kansas City to negotiate a contract for his shortstop client, Rico Rosa, Arliss finds himself stuck in a heavy fog. Team owner Helga Krupp is known for being notoriously frugal and politically incorrect, making her a prime target for criticism. Meanwhile, the AMM bowling team is quite pleased that Arliss, who is considered the weakest player on the team, is absent during this time.
