In Bushwick, Brooklyn, Daniel Hernandez grapples with childhood trauma that sets him on the path to becoming hip hop’s infamous figure, Tekashi 6ix9ine. From an early age, he realizes that achieving social media stardom hinges on constantly pushing boundaries and provoking reactions. He develops his signature rainbow aesthetic and outrageous rap persona. After aligning himself with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and releasing his breakthrough song “Gummo,” he leaves his newborn daughter and her mother questioning what lies ahead. This marks the beginning of the series.
