Ariadne Oliver is enlisted to create a murder mystery game for a local fair in Devon. However, an unsettling feeling prompts her to call in Hercule Poirot for assistance. Unfortunately, her apprehensions come true when, amidst the festivities, the actress portraying the intended victim is found genuinely dead.
