Episode Overview

While escorting a patient home in Stockholm, army surgeon Johan Gustav Daadh receives an unexpected offer to become the district police commissioner. Meanwhile, he finds himself romantically drawn to the chief constable's wife, Magdalena. Recognizing her faith in his abilities, Johan decides to accept the commissioner role, enlisting his former patient, Simon Freund, to be his assistant in this new chapter of his life.
