Blue Thunder (1984)

Episode Overview

A paramilitary group called the "Posse Magistratus" is suspected of a string of bank robberies, including one involving a heavily modified World War II fighter plane. To track the plane down, Chaney and Wonderlove follow aerial police sightings. Chaney spots gun mounts on a plane during an unauthorized thermograph, but the evidence isn't valid enough to charge the Sheriff who owns it. Later that day, the same WWII fighter attacks them, and Chaney shoots it down in Blue Thunder. To gather solid evidence, Ski goes undercover as a mechanic. Soon, Chaney and Wonderlove discover the group plans to assassinate a city councilman at the Queen Mary.
