Dick invites Mary to his penthouse for a lavish dinner, but she confesses that she no longer believes in true love, despite his attempts to change her mind. Meanwhile, Sally feels sidelined by Don's commitment to his wife and urges him to end their affair. Don, focused on his presidential ambitions, declines her request, prompting Sally to end things herself.
