While returning from an expedition, Sydney makes an unexpected crash landing at a convent in Nova Scotia. The Sisters of Mercy request assistance in locating the remains of Sister Evangeline, whose body has been unaccounted for for more than 400 years. Teaming up with Nigel, Sydney uncovers that the search for the murdered nun's remains is not the only mystery at play. He learns that the Sisters are also protecting hidden jewels and a stash of pirate treasure.
