Overview

Nine-year-old Hana lives in terror under her abusive family’s roof, while the stunning Michiko pulls off the impossible—escaping the legendary Diamandra Penitentiary. When Michiko snatches Hana away, claiming to be her mother, the unlikely pair blazes across Brazil on a high-speed motorcycle chase toward freedom. Together, they search for Hana’s missing father, struggle to tolerate each other, and dodge both police and the afro-sporting Atsuko at every turn.
