Lincoln Heights is undergoing significant transformations, some positive and others not so much, and the Sutton family is no exception. Jen finally grows weary of her monotonous job at the nearly defunct local hospital and decides to join a free clinic. This leaves Eddie to manage the household, but things aren’t unfolding as he expects. Lizzie continues her secret correspondence with her abductor, Boa. Meanwhile, Cassie and Charles are on the verge of deepening their friendship. Even innocent Tay finds herself caught in an FBI operation. Amidst this turmoil, Reverend Hammond calls for harmony and an end to gang violence. But when his voice is silenced, one pressing question remains: who will rise to take his place?
