Lady Alex Lindo-Parker, a curator at the British Museum, embarks on an expedition to the Amazon to locate the lost camp of the Victorian explorer Percy Fawcett. Along the way, a string of unexpected events leads her to team up with the unconventional American adventurer Hooten. Together, they unexpectedly discover the legendary city of El Dorado.
