Title: Joe Lycett Plot: Comedian Joe Lycett is known for his ability to extract humor from any situation, but his family history reveals a more somber side. While he learns about his Edwardian great-grandfather, a member of the Royal Antediluvian Order of the Buffaloes in Nottingham, he also discovers the troubling past of his two-times-great grandfather, Robert Wilkinson. As a child, Robert worked as a chimney sweep in the 1850s before enlisting in the Royal Marines. However, his participation in the destruction of villages in China during the Opium Wars ultimately leads to a struggle with alcoholism and his mental health.
