Plot

In Beirut, Mehdia, an Ethiopian domestic worker, is in love with Ahmed, a Syrian refugee scraping by selling scrap metal. A hidden war shrapnel injury is slowly consuming him from within. Their future together seems impossible, yet with nothing to lose, they have everything to risk. When a chance for escape appears, they flee Beirut in a desperate, hopeful dash. But as they race toward freedom, Ahmed’s mysterious condition worsens, threatening to steal the very future they’re fighting for.
