Plot
Mary Evans, a witty and determined waitress, catches the eye of the charming yet often inebriated Hollywood director Max Carey when he unexpectedly walks into her diner. After a fun-filled evening at his movie premiere, Mary earns a chance for a screen test, leading to a coveted studio deal. Just as Mary’s aspirations start to materialize, Max’s personal and professional life begins to unravel.
