Plot
In a remote Arctic village during 1931, British cartographer Walter Russell chooses young Eskimo Avik as his guide. After Avik falls ill with tuberculosis, Walter brings him to a Montreal hospital, where the boy develops a crush on the nurse, Albertine. Years later, now a British pilot in London, Avik reunites with Albertine, who is still entwined with Walter. Their past feelings resurface, leading to a passionate affair that complicates their lives and relationships, testing their loyalties and desires amidst the backdrop of war.
