Peter Addenbrooke Thomas was a distinguished American announcer and narrator whose impressive career spanned over seven decades. He is best remembered for his compelling narration of the acclaimed true-crime series, *Forensic Files*, which captivated audiences for years.

Throughout his prolific career, Thomas lent his voice to a multitude of television commercials for major brands like Coca-Cola, IBM, Valvoline, NBC, Burger King, and ESPN, among others. His voice was also featured in political advertisements and films produced for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Notably, he narrated the orientation video for the National World War I Museum located at The Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri.

In addition to commercials, Thomas narrated significant historical content, including the Readers Digest series *The Crucial Turning Points of World War II* and the official highlight reel of the 1985 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. He was also heard in Paul Hardcastle’s hit song “19,” which was inspired by his narration of the poignant ABC documentary *Vietnam Requiem*.

Thomas’s contributions to children’s literature included narrating the Troll Associates audiobook series, featuring titles such as *Amazing World of Dinosaurs* and the CD version of Natalie Babbitt’s *Tuck Everlasting*. He even provided the digitized voice for Philips' HeartStart AED units, guiding emergency responders.

From the early 1980s until 2015, he announced the underwriting credits for PBS’s *Nature* series, and from 1988 to 1996, he did the same for *NOVA*. Peter Thomas passed away on April 30, 2016, at the age of 91, and was remembered fondly in the first episode of *Forensic Files II* on February 23, 2020.
