Luis Antonio Howard’s path to the screen began far from Hollywood. Born in Colombia, South America, he spent his early childhood with his grandparents before moving to the United States at age ten to live with his mother. Though he showed an early passion for art and music, he set those interests aside to earn a degree in Engineering. To support himself through college, he worked an eclectic mix of jobs—driving a taxi, washing dishes, selling computers, and laboring in construction and building maintenance.
Acting had always lingered in the back of his mind, but it wasn’t until he took his first class at The Lisa Maile School that the spark became a full-blown commitment. He continued his training under respected coaches including Shauna Bartel, Rus Blackwell, Yvonne Suhor, and Jennifer Jarackas. Since then, Luis has built a solid career on screen, appearing in numerous commercials and landing a range of roles in both film and television. His journey from engineering to acting—fueled by persistence and a willingness to start from the bottom—stands as a testament to following a creative calling, no matter how winding the road.
