Roman François Coppola, born on April 22, 1965, is the son of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola, but he has carved out his own multifaceted career as a filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay alongside Wes Anderson for *Moonrise Kingdom* (2012). His television series *Mozart in the Jungle* secured the 2016 Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. In 2019, he was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
As president of San Francisco’s American Zoetrope and founder of The Directors Bureau, a commercial and music video production company, Coppola has demonstrated wide-ranging influence.
